Established in 1986 at Kapurthala, Punjab, the Rail Coach Factory (RCF) is a key coach manufacturing unit of Indian Railways. Notably, it achieved a record production of coaches in the fiscal year 2013-2014.
Specializing in manufacturing 120 Linke-Hofmann-Busch (LHB) coaches, the RCF plays a crucial role in enhancing the passenger rail experience with modern amenities and safety features. Over the years, it has contributed significantly to the improvement of the Indian railway network.

Eligibility Criteria- Rail Coach Factory Recruitment
Educational Qualification-
Candidates must have a 10th Pass, ITI, or an equivalent qualification, including NAC (National Apprenticeship Certificate) granted by NCVT, to be eligible for the position.
Sports Qualifications-
- Represented the Country in any of the following Championships events:
- World Cup (Junior/Youth/Senior category)
- World Championships (Junior/Senior Category)
- Asian Games (Senior Category)
- Commonwealth Games (Senior Category)
- Youth Olympics
- Champions Trophy (Hockey)
[OR]
- Represented the country in any one of the following:-
- Commonwealth Championships (Junior/Senior)
- Â Asian Championships/Asia Cup (Junior/Senior)
- South Asian Federations (SAF) Games (Senior)
- USIC (World Railways) Championships/(Senior)
- World University Games
[OR]
- Represented a State or equivalent unit and obtained at least 3rd Position in Senior/Youth/Junior National Championships.
[OR]
- Represented a State and obtained at least 3rd Position in National Games Organized under the aegis of the Indian Olympic Association.
[OR]
- At least 3rd Position in the All India Inter University Championship organized under the aegis of the Association of Indian Universities.

- At least 3rd position in Federation Cup Championships (Senior category).
[OR]
- Represented a State of the equivalent unit, except in Marathon and Cross country, with at least 8th position in Senior National Championships only.
Age Limit- (As On 15/07/2024)
Candidates applying for Jobs must fall within the age bracket of 18 to 25 years, adhering to the stipulated age criteria for eligibility in the recruitment process.
