Eligibility Criteria- IIT Madras Recruitment
Educational Qualification-
- BE / B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering / Automobile Engineering / Electronics and Communication Engineering / Electrical Engineering) or equivalent, First Class or First Class with Distinction or equivalent. (OR)
- M.Sc. (Materials Science / Physics) First Class or First Class with Distinction or equivalent
Experience-
- Passed out with a high % of marks above 80 and high technical knowledge.
- Passed out with % of marks above 70 and high technical knowledge.
- 1 – 5 years of experience in the Engineering Industry / Academia /Research & Development / Defence Services with the following areas of work.
Skills-
- Good Knowledge about DRDO structure and its activities.
- We will consider fresh graduates/postgraduates in Engineering/Management based on interaction, written tests, or both for Defense Research in the international scenario.
- Wide knowledge of Defence Technology, Futuristic technology for defense requirements, and cutting-edge technology at the global level.
- Analysis of research outcome and recommendation on outcome.
- Should have an interest in learning new technical knowledge based on the center’s requirements.
- Very strong English communication skills, technical report preparation, road map preparation for an
organization, and follow-up with research agencies, academia, and industry. - Organizing skills for workshops, Conferences & Meetings.
- Proactive mode on initiation of Technical / Research projects.
- Coordinating Administration and Materials Management activities.
- Knowledge of necessary software tools for report generation.
- Reviewing the projects and follow-up actions. Additional activities as on a need basis. OR
- Retired DRDO / scientific organization Scientist G or F level who has an interest in developing technology in liaison with academia and industry.
- Continuous interaction with DRDO HQr for follow-up and sanction process.
- Age relaxation of two years (for DRDO / scientific organization) can be considered If the candidate is found suitable.
Age Limit- (As On 23/01/2024)
Should not be more than 60 years.
Some Other Imp. Information-
- We will consider fresh engineering graduates with excellent knowledge of defense R&D for the position.
- Experience in control systems, diesel engines, and engineering drawings & tolerances will be an added advantage.
- Those who have higher qualifications / additional qualifications will have an added advantage.
- We will consider retired scientists from DRDO/ISRO/DST/BARC based on their expertise for the position.
