Eligibility Criteria- HAL Assistant Engineer Recruitment
Educational Qualification
Engineering disciplines-
- A full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology or its equivalent, comprising a four-year program following 10+2, obtained from institutions or universities recognized by the appropriate statutory authorities in the country.
- Eligible Branches Are- Computer / IT, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Production, Aeronautical, Laboratory, Metallurgy, Civil Engg, Architecture.
Non-Engineering disciplines-
1). HR:
- A standard full-time Bachelor’s Degree along with a two-year regular/full-time Postgraduate Degree/PG Diploma/MBA/MSW/MA (completed in 3+2 years after 10+2).
- Specializing in Human Resources, Personnel Management, Industrial Relations, Labour Management, Organizational Development, Human Resource Development, Labour Welfare, etc.
- The qualifications should be obtained from institutions or universities acknowledged by the relevant statutory authorities in the country.
2). Finance:
- Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree with successful completion of the final examination of CA/ICWA from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India/Institute of Cost Accountants of India.
3). Library:
- Completion of a 2-year Postgraduate Degree or Postgraduate Diploma in Library Science denoted as M.Lib.
4). Horticulture:
- Attainment of a 4-year B.Sc in Agriculture followed by a 2-year M.Sc in Agriculture through regular mode.
Note-
- The applicant must have achieved a minimum aggregate of 50% marks across all Semesters/Years. [OR] The CGPA ratings/gradations in the qualifying examinations should align accordingly, and no rounding off will occur.
- No preference will be given to any specific Semester or Year.
- Applicants with a 5-year Integrated Degree in the relevant Discipline and Branch of Engineering are eligible to apply as well.
- Applicants with an Engineering Degree in any Discipline/Branch, excluding those specified above, are ineligible to apply.
Age Limit(As On 28/02/2023)
- Upper Age Limit: 45 years
- The maximum age limit, considering all relaxations, should not surpass 56 years.
- Age relaxation:
- Candidates from the SC/ST category are eligible for a relaxation of up to 5 years.
- Candidates belonging to the OBC category are eligible for a relaxation of up to 3 years.
- Candidates who were domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 are eligible for a relaxation of up to 5 years in the upper age limit.
- There is a relaxation of 10 years in the upper age limit for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD).

The stipend for the post of Assistant Engineer/Assistant Officer: Rs.30,000 – Rs.1,20,000/-

The selection process of the recruitment is given-
- The selection will be made through the marks secured in the Written Test (in order of Merit).
- Only short-listed candidates, determined by the marks/percentage obtained in the qualifying examinations, will be invited for the Written Test, subject to the discretion of the Management.
- Short-listed/eligible candidates will receive notification of the Date, Time, and Venue of the Written Test through E-mail, HAL Website, or by Post.
Written Test
- The Written Test will be of Objective type (Multiple Choice Questions – MCQ) and 2 ½ hours in duration. The Test will be in three parts.
- Part I will consist of 20 questions on General Awareness.
- Part II will consist of 40 questions on English & Reasoning.
- Part III will consist of 100 questions on the concerned Discipline.
- Each question carries 1 Mark each and there will be no negative mark.
