Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit
The age limit is calculated as on 1 January 2026:
- Flying Branch:
- Minimum Age: 20 years
- Maximum Age: 24 years
- Born between 2 January 2000 to 1 January 2006 (both dates inclusive).
- Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical):
- Minimum Age: 20 years
- Maximum Age: 26 years
- Born between 2 January 2000 to 1 January 2006 (both dates inclusive).
Educational Qualification
The detailed qualifications will be made available in the official notification, which will be accessible starting 2 December 2024. However, the broad requirements are as follows:
- Flying Branch (AFCAT & NCC Special Entry):
- Bachelor’s Degree (any discipline) with a minimum of 60% marks and must have studied Mathematics and Physics at the 10+2 level.
OR - A degree in Engineering with at least 60% marks.
- Bachelor’s Degree (any discipline) with a minimum of 60% marks and must have studied Mathematics and Physics at the 10+2 level.
- Ground Duty (Technical):
- Engineering degree in the relevant discipline with 60% marks. Specializations include Aeronautical, Mechanical, and Electronics.
- Ground Duty (Non-Technical):
- For Administration: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 60% marks.
- For Education: Master’s degree in the relevant field with 50% marks.

Selection Process
The selection process for AFCAT 01/2025 involves the following stages:
