Eligibility Criteria

Age Limit (As on January 1, 2024)

  1. General Categories (OM/SC/ST/RBA/ALC/IB/OBC/EWS/Government/Contractual Employment):
    • Minimum Age: 18 years
    • Maximum Age: 28 years
    • Candidates must be born between January 1, 1996, and January 1, 2006.
  2. In-Service Police Personnel:
    • Maximum Age: 30 years
    • Candidates must be born between January 1, 1994, and January 1, 2006.
  3. Ex-Servicemen:
    • Eligible candidates can deduct the duration of their military service from their actual age. If the resultant age does not exceed the prescribed maximum age by more than 3 years, they are deemed eligible.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university or institution.

Physical Standards

For Males:

  • Height: 5′-6″ (minimum)
  • Chest: 32″ (unexpanded) and 33½″ (expanded)

For Females:

  • Height: 5′-2″ (minimum)
  • Note: Candidates belonging to the Gorkha Community or Bot Tribe are eligible for a height relaxation of 2 inches.

Physical Endurance Test (PET)

  1. Male Candidates:
    • Long Race: 1600 meters in 6 minutes 30 seconds
    • Pushups: 20 (one cycle of up and down counts as one)
  2. Female Candidates:
    • Long Race: 1000 meters in 6 minutes 30 seconds
    • Shot Put (4kg): 14½ feet in 3 attempts
